Capture from DVD, Media Player or Internet

To capture streaming video from DVD, Media Player or Internet, check the "Prevent Black Screen" option on the "Preferences | Other" page. If it doesn't help, try to turn off the hardware acceleration of the graphical card:
  1. Go to the Start Menu and select Settings->Control Panel.
  2. From the list view, select Display Properties and select the last page titled Settings.
  3. Find the Advanced button and then choose Troubleshooting.
  4. There you will find a slider control for hardware acceleration. Move that slider to None, then click OK button.

DirectX / Direct 3D Capture

To capture screens in full screen DirectX / Direct 3D games, check the Preferences | Main | DirectX option. Then use the Capture Screen hotkey to grab the games's frame.

Using the <Print Scrn> hotkey

If you have the problems with some hot key use the <Print Scrn< key instead. Generally this hot key doesn't cause any actions unlike others and therefore doesn't cause any problems.

Capture of Complex Menu

Many of modern menues have a complex structure and can't be captured by using the <Capture Menu> hotkey. Use the <Capture Windows> command instead along with the <Multiselect Mode> to capture the menu as a group of windows.

HTML Page Capture

If the HTML page contains an animation, Mr. Captor can't use the auto-scrolling feature properly, and a scrolling is unexpectedly interrupted. In this case use a Preview mode with stopped animation. In many cases it helps.

Manual Scrolling

If the auto-scrolling doesn't work, use the Manual Scroll command instead. Almost all long windows can be captured by using this feature.
