If you can't capture images in DVD player or have problems to capture images in Windows Media Player this page is designed for you! The player uses DirectX to draw the frames,and when you try to capture a frame you need to capture the DirectX output instead of common GDI one. Why does a DirectX output differ from a common one? The point is that a DirectX output doesn't passes through the standard GDI system on some systems. For this reason a DirectX output has a reputation of hard-to-capture. When you use a standard snapshot software or the <Prn Scrn> key the result is a black (or empty) rectangle.
