Freehand Region Capture


To capture a freehand region:
  1. Start the capture process as described in the Rectangular Region Capture topic and check the Freehand region mode in the context menu (to invoke it click the right mouse button):

  2. Press the left mouse button and move the mouse to draw a region:

  3. Release the left mouse button.
  4. Finally execute the Grab now context menu command to grab the image or Cancel to cancel operation.
    You can also double-click left mouse button to grab the image. Note, the mouse cursor must be inside the region to capture.



After the drawing is finished you can change only a region position:

You can also set the background color on the Options | Preferences | Main page.

Line drawing


Region's boundary can consist of both freehand boundary and straight vertical or horisontal lines.
To draw a straight vertical/horisontal line press <Shift> key while drawing.
The result of line drawing looks like this picture:
